Job Description

The mission

Participate in product development and feature specifications as part of an agile team, and focus on delivering products on time that exceed customers’ and teammates’ expectations
Architect and develop new applications in a polyglot environment
Client facing and technical support to our clients (in English)
Participate in various in-house projects, goals of which are to improve our team, workplace or communication

What makes you a good candidate?

If you have these skills:
Good knowledge of Ruby or JavaScript or other programming language and SQL
Basic knowledge (at least) of Functional Programming: Elm, Elixir or Erlang
Good understanding of OO and functional programming, SOLID principles and Clean Code
Solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, asset loading, caching, REST)
Passion for clean, maintainable code
Ability to meet deadlines, work within an international environment, exchange knowledge with colleagues, and be up-to-date with new trends
Ability to analyze and solve programming tasks independently and pro-actively
Active English language knowledge

If you are excited about:
Getting a product idea from the first brainstorming to a market-ready product
Creating things in a quick, ‘try and fail’-manner
Understanding teamwork
Learning new things and improving yourself whenever you can

How can you stand out?

It’s a plus if you have:
Experience with Functional Programming languages
Open Source contribution to tools or independent projects are a huge plus
Experience with Agile practices (Scrum, eXtreme programming, peer code reviews, pair programming)
Experience with Unit Testing and TDD
Knowledge of test automation of backend and frontend applications
Sysadmin experience and good old unix skills are a big plus
Done voluntary or socially responsible work of any kind
Worked with startups
